The Onshore Lead Developer (Full Stack) will support enterprise healthcare initiatives with a strong focus on the provider domain and EDI integrations.
This role is responsible for architecting, developing, and delivering secure, scalable healthcare applications using .NET, React, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
The position requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and hands-on ownership of EDI (X12/HIPAA) workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support provider data, claims, eligibility, and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications using .NET, React, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Architect and implement secure, scalable services and front-end experiences for healthcare provider solutions.
- Own and manage EDI (X12/HIPAA) integrations, including:
- Parsing, mapping, and validation
- Acknowledgment processing
- Error handling and reconciliation
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and cross-functional teams to convert complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with HIPAA and PHI/PII standards.
- Drive quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and SDLC best practices.
- Coordinate onshore/offshore delivery, ensuring clear communication, documentation, and SLA adherence.
- Prepare and maintain technical designs, workflows, runbooks, and development standards.
- Participate in solution governance, architecture reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in full-stack development using .NET and React.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, database design, complex queries, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with REST API design, security protocols (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT), and integration patterns.
- Deep experience with EDI X12/HIPAA transactions including 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, etc.
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare provider domain, including provider credentialing, directory, contracting, and demographics.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), containers (Docker), and Dev Ops practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working within healthcare provider ecosystems.
- Familiarity with provider data feeds such as NPPES/NPI, provider directory APIs, and data stewardship processes.
- Exposure to EDI translator/mapping tools (e.g., Sterling, Gentran) and payment integrity workflows.
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep), and observability tools.
- Background in healthcare data governance, auditing, and compliance frameworks.
