Genetec Systems Technician

We are seeking a highly experienced Security Systems Specialist with strong GENETEC expertise to support physical security infrastructure in Long Beach, CA.

This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise-level physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and server-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on technical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot GENETEC security systems (primary focus).
• Deploy and support access control and video surveillance platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot Hanwha and Axis camera systems
  .
• Perform camera and access control installations, including cabling, hardware setup, and system validation.
• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments supporting security infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Dell servers
  , including RAID setup and optimization.
• Design, support, and troubleshoot network topologies related to physical security systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and system integration issues.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, safety, and timelines.
• Travel independently to multiple sites using a personal vehicle and tools as required.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in physical security systems.
• Strong experience with GENETEC (required).
• Experience with:
  • Access control system installation and troubleshooting
  • Enterprise camera installation and configuration
  • Hanwha and Axis camera systems
  • Windows Server environments
  • Dell servers and RAID configurations
  • Network topologies and infrastructure support
• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Must have reliable transportation and personal tools for onsite work.

• GENETEC certified (strongly preferred)
• Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments.

The base range for this contract position is $35 - $55 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
