Microsoft Dynamics AX Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft Dynamics AX
system. The ideal candidate will ensure the systems reliability, performance, and alignment with
business needs, supporting end-users and driving process improvements. This role requires technical
expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system administration.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
Manage and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics AX environment, including
system configuration, user access, security roles, and workflows.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide Tier 2/3 support for Dynamics AX users, resolving technical issues,
and escalating complex problems to vendors or consultants as needed.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor system performance, apply patches, and implement updates to
ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
Data Management:
Oversee data integrity, perform regular backups, and execute data imports/exports
to support business operations.
Process Improvement:
Collaborate with business units to identify and implement enhancements,
customizations, and integrations to meet evolving needs.
Training & Documentation:
Develop user guides, conduct training sessions, and maintain documentation
for system processes and configurations.
Compliance & Security:
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, maintaining
robust security measures within the AX environment.
Vendor Coordination:
Work with external consultants and Microsoft partners to support system
upgrades, migrations, or third-party integrations.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 or later preferred).
Proven track record in system configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.

Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, or Power BI is a plus.
Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in Dynamics AX administration, including security, workflows, and system maintenance.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
Basic knowledge of X++ programming or Morph

X development is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications:

Microsoft Dynamics AX certifications (e.g., MB6-893, MB-300) are highly desirable but not required.
Qualifications

Mfg site has 300 employees plus 1 MS Dynamics AX technician and 1 outside AX consultant. Great visibility. Local candidates only as position is in-house with opportunity for some hybrid work. No relocation.
