Customs Entry Writer / Data Entry (PGA/FDA) Specialist
Long Beach, California | Onsite (100%) | $30/hr. or more depending on experience.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday.
We’re partnering with a well-established logistics/brokerage team in Long Beach that’s growing and needs a true Entry Writer focused on high-volume data entry + PGA (FDA “May Proceed”) releases. This is a role for someone who likes a steady pace, clean processes, and getting files cleared accurately and fast.
If you’ve been in brokerage operations and you’re confident handling 100–150 entries per month you’ll stand out immediately.
What You’ll Be Doing- Enter and process import entries accurately and on time
- Review documents and fix missing/incorrect info before submission
- Handle PGA/FDA steps (including “May Proceed” releases) and flag exams right away
- Use client SOPs to classify shipments and apply the correct codes (HTS/product)
- Track release status (Customs/FDA/other agencies) and resolve holds/errors fast
- Update delivery orders and send clear instructions to carriers when shipments must be held
- Correct bill of lading/file issues and hand off completed files to Post-Entry
- 3+ years in entry writing/brokerage ops (
heavy data entry + PGA/FDA
) - Proven high-volume pace (
100–150 entries/month
) - Solid Excel + Outlook/Word skills
- Detail-driven, organized, and able to work independently while supporting customers
