Base pay range$75.00/hr - $90.00/hr
We are in need of a contract Project Manager who will guide and coordinate our organization's implementation of the Dayforce Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This consultant role requires a seasoned project management professional with deep expertise in HCM system implementations, who can serve as the primary client-side liaison between the Dayforce and our in-house project plans. The role works closely with our Project Management Team to support their detailed planning and coordination needs.
The role helps ensure successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

This position expects to pay about $75-90 per hour plus benefits
What You Will Do:
- Serve as the primary client-side resource to coordinate with the Dayforce Project Manager and support the detailed project planning needs for the in-house Project Management Team.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking for all implementation phases.
- Facilitate seamless communication between Dayforce, the In-house Project Management Team, and third-party resources.
- Serve as the Testing Lead to develop comprehensive plans for test script development, UAT execution and Payroll Parallel testing.
- Facilitate project governance through deliverable completion tracking, steering committee meetings, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Support resource allocation, and vendor contract compliance.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and organizational change management principles.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Act as the central coordination point of contact between Internal Project Management Team and the Dayforce Project Manager and Team.
- Coordinate cross-functional tasks as required across HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Operations, and Legal/Compliance functions.
- Support Org Readiness and communication plans and ensure requirements are carefully coordinated with other project activities.
- Help resolve conflicts and escalate issues appropriately to maintain project momentum
Technical Implementation Oversight
- Provide a QA oversite of system configuration, data migration planning and execution, and integration development
- Coordinate testing phases including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and Payroll parallel processing
- Coordinate security, compliance, and audit requirements specific to HCM systems with the In-house Project Management team.
- Oversee go-live planning, cutover activities, and post-implementation stabilization.
Change Management & Training
- Support Change Management and Org. Readiness activities as assigned by the Steering Committee and In-house Project Management Team.
- Support the planning and coordination of the training program development and delivery for end-users and system administrators.
What You Bring to The Table:
- Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience with at least 3-5 years specifically managing HCM (Dayforce, Workday, Success Factors, Oracle HCM, etc.) system implementations.
- Direct experience managing HCM/Payroll system implementations from the client-side perspective.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, enterprise-level system implementations on time and within budget.
- Experience working with and supporting cross-functional, matrix project teams and resources.
- Deep understanding of HCM modules including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Workforce Management, and Talent Management.
- Knowledge of HCM business processes, data models, and integration requirements
- Understanding of data migration methodologies and data quality management
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, etc.)
