Job SummaryUnder general supervision of the CNSM Technical Services Supervisor, the incumbent installs, maintains, and repairs a variety of computer workstations, laptops, network equipment, and servers. Installs and maintains all CNSM workstations, laptops and servers. Analyze operating systems and applications software for deployment in CNSM Plan, design, and deploy technical projects. Provide viable and thorough solutions to a wide variety of information technology problems for faculty, staff and students.
In addition, the incumbent assists with administration of the CNSM physical and virtual infrastructure in conjunction with other CSULB units.
- Installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware and software. Maintain and update CNSM inventory of equipment.
- Provide support and consultation for Academic, Administrative, and Special Events technology needs.
- Assists with administration of the CNSM physical and virtual infrastructure in conjunction with other CSULB units safeguarding personal and confidential information.
- Act as liaison for campus technical community and with off-campus vendors.
- Assist with scanning electron microscope, training, and troubleshooting as needed.
CNSM Administration
Time Base1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,787 (Step
1) - $8,430 (Step 20) per month.
