PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR / SILVER STRAND STATE BEACH / SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT

The reporting location for this position is the Maintenance Shop located at Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of the Sector Manager, Senior Environmental Scientist (Sup).

The position duties include the incumbent to plan, supervise, and direct the maintenance functions at Silver Strand State Beach, Border Field State Park including the Tijuana Estuary facilities, supervision of permanent and seasonal employees, ensuring completion of scheduled maintenance as identified in MAXIMO, CAT I and Temp help budgeting, purchasing, and implementing unit safety program. Area of responsibility includes a campground with RV hookups, sewer lift stations, beach and day use facilities, and sensitive habitats.

The incumbent’s work schedule will be Tuesday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Possession of a valid class C driver license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
