Compensation:
$100, a year with a 25% bonus.
Job Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the plant’s operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, and managing the plant workforce. The Plant Manager will drive the plant's operational success, including safety, productivity, quality, and profitability while maintaining the company’s high standards. They will play a key leadership role in driving performance improvements and managing day‑to‑day operations while ensuring a safe, compliant, and well‑functioning production environment.
The Plant Manager will represent Medico Healthcare Linen with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Job Description:
- Oversee a 1-shift workforce of 120+ employees and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.
- Manage production schedules and daily workflows, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while safeguarding core values.
- Develop and implement new procedures and processes in collaboration with senior leadership, including RFID implementation.
- Foster positive working relationships with other department heads to meet organizational goals.
- Enforce and promote safety measures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, facility safety standards, and accident prevention strategies.
- Lead efforts in hiring, training, development, and management of production staff, including Team Leaders and department heads.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of required record‑keeping, such as OSHA 300 logs, employee injuries, performance reviews, and attendance records for payroll processing.
- Implement and enforce company policies, including disciplinary action, in line with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and company policies.
- Investigate employee concerns or complaints and work towards resolution.
- Monitor employee attendance, ensuring adherence to attendance policies and regulations.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College Degree preferred
Skills:
- 5 years of management experience
- 3 years’ experience leading a team in a production environment
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills
- Ability to coach and mentor employees
- Able to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently
- Industrial laundry and union experience preferred
- Payroll Management
Physical:
- Repetitive motions limited to repeated bending, stretching, twisting, reaching and pushing/pulling
- Able to stand for long hours at a time
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs, carry up to 25 lbs, and move up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to reasonable noise level, changes in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
