Senior Manager, Planning & Fulfillment
Based onsite at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Manager, Planning & Fulfillment will lead a team that ensures raw materials and components are delivered to support production needs efficiently. This role requires a deep understanding of our supply chain and production operations, including engagement with Rocket Lab US and New Zealand across the extended supply chain.
WhatYou’ll Get to Do
- Manage a team of material and production planners.
- Create material demand within MRP and manage material supply for production and R&D.
- Ensure part master data in MRP is accurate.
- Create material visibility across the business using line‑of‑balance reports, material‑shortage reports, clear‑to‑build reports, etc.
- Identify part‑supply constraints that may impact production schedules and develop mitigation plans.
- Work cross‑functionally as a strong team player to achieve company‑wide goals.
- 10+ years of experience in a material planner, production planner, buyer function and a bachelor’s degree (14+ years total work experience).
- Proven ability to manage demand planning and supply planning within MRP.
- Proven ability to create new processes and deploy effective systems.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
- Proficient in SQL and MRP systems.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing.
- Prior experience in a rapid‑growth environment.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Team oriented, strong ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
- Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
- Must sit, use hands and fingers, operate a computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically able to commute to buildings.
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
Base Pay Range (CA Only): $130,000 — $175,000 USD.
