Manufacturing Technician 1 - Press Operator (LVL Cold)
Rubbercraft is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 1 - Press Operator (LVL Cold) to support the production of precision molded rubber components used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This role is responsible for operating molding presses, loading and unloading materials, performing visual inspections, maintaining product traceability, and following established manufacturing and safety procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Operate molding presses according to the production schedule and department priorities.
- Load and unload materials and finished products from molds and tooling.
- Clean molds and tooling as required.
- Read, understand, and follow production routers and work instructions; complete required documentation.
- Perform visual in-process inspections to verify product quality.
- Maintain accurate part identification and traceability throughout production.
- Meet established production, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements using Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) forms.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct monthly audits of expired materials when assigned.
- Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or machine operator experience, preferably in a molded products environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment, press operation, and safety practices preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- On-the-job training in department-specific procedures and work instructions.
- Annual refresher training on FOD, calibration, documentation control, and safety.
