Position Overview

Construction Project Engineer
, reporting to the Construction Project Manager
. This full‑time, exempt position is located in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in all aspects of project implementation as needed
  • Create and attend meetings and presentations with executive leadership
  • Obtain multiple bids from competing contractors by creating scopes of work
  • Perform job walk‑downs with vendors, engineers, supervisors, and managers
  • Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted and insured
  • Review plans and other technical documents
  • Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project
  • Monitor costs and project progress
  • Maintain control of all project documentation
  • Create, manage and track RFIs from the field to the architect/engineer of record
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in any engineering discipline
  • Experience with facilities within an aerospace industry
  • Familiar with space planning procedures and operations
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to easily navigate through different software programs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to make independent judgments with limited information
  • Communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in‑writing) between employees, vendors, and customers
  • Logical and strategic approach to solving problems
  • Comfortable working in a high‑stress environment, balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends to support critical mission milestones
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Compensation

Pay Range:
California
$104,960—$170,846 USD
