Production Expeditor/Scheduler 1

Rubbercraft is seeking a Production Expeditor/Scheduler 1 to play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating new product introductions and production activities across the organization. This highly visible position partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality to ensure customer commitments are met while balancing production capacity, inventory goals, and operational priorities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for manufacturing cells, work centers, and presses.
  • Coordinate scheduling and planning activities for new product introductions from engineering through production.
  • Track and manage 100–150 active jobs simultaneously, ensuring customer delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively communicate schedule risks, delays, and recovery plans to leadership.
  • Identify production capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve throughput and delivery performance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Project Management, and Supply Chain to ensure materials, tooling, and resources are available to support production schedules.
  • Review bills of material, engineering drawings, and customer specifications to determine material requirements and issue production orders.
  • Expedite jobs and coordinate priorities to support customer requirements and inventory objectives.
  • Participate in customer and internal new product review meetings as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, materials, manufacturing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations preferred.
Skills
  • Strong production scheduling and planning experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing planning processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify schedule risks and proactively develop solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Great Plains is a plus.
  • APICS (CPIM) and/or CPSM certification preferred.

  • Consistently meet customer delivery commitments and on-time delivery goals.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules that maximize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Effectively coordinate new product introductions through production.
  • Improve schedule adherence while minimizing production disruptions.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Training
  • On-the-job training covering department procedures and work instructions.
  • Annual refresher training on FOD, Calibration, Document Control, and Safety.
