Position: Additive Manufacturing Technician Supervisor, Manufacturing

Employment type: Full‑time, non‑exempt

Location: Long Beach, California

Shift: Second Shift: 2 pm – 10:30 pm

Responsibilities
  • Setting up additive manufacturing print jobs, verifying machine settings against best practices, overseeing the print process and quality as the machine operates, recover build pauses if necessary.
  • Safely handling the metal powder before and after the build, including sieving, loading, part de‑powdering, measuring, and safe storage.
  • Keeping the work space clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained.
  • Developing and implementing process‑efficiency improvement projects.
  • Performing verifications independently and documenting results in a clear, precise, and complete manner.
  • Operating post‑processing equipment such as drills, handheld grinders, and CNC machines as required.
  • Performing preventive routine maintenance on the machines and troubleshooting manufacturing hardware.
  • Supporting rapid iteration and development testing.
  • Documenting build, test, and maintenance activities.
  • Adhering to and helping refine test processes, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Supporting other teams through cross‑functional collaboration and training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or similar industrial experience.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, basic measurement equipment, and following detailed procedures safely.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in additive manufacturing or a similar environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, controlled documentation, and processes such as assembly procedures, work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists.
  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
  • Experience driving engagement with others, taking initiative, and propelling the team toward improved performance.
  • Experience with metal powders.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime or on weekends to support critical mission milestones.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range:
California $23 – $58 USD per hour.

Base salary will vary based on knowledge, education, experience, business needs, and market demand. In addition to base salary, full‑time employees receive company equity.
