Job Description This role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of manufacturing machines in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. The Machine Operator reads and interprets shop drawings, sets up and runs equipment, and produces accurate, high-quality components while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret shop drawings and use measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to produce accurate parts that meet quality standards.
- Verify dimensions and inspect finished components for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work pace while consistently meeting production expectations.
- Follow all company safety policies and operate all equipment safely and responsibly.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with leads and team members to support production goals.
- Adapt to changing production schedules, priorities, and job assignments as needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping by keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment properly to prevent damage and ensure safe operation.
- Support general fabrication activities as required in a machine shop or production shop environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating tube laser equipment.
- Experience operating flatbed laser machines.
- Experience with CNC plasma cutting machines.
- Experience operating CNC mills.
- Experience operating press brakes.
- Experience operating lathes.
- Experience using drill presses.
- Experience operating automatic bandsaws.
- Experience operating forklifts in a shop environment.
- Experience using ironworkers.
- Experience using grinders and other fabrication tools.
- Background in fabrication within a machine shop or production shop.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a machine shop and production shop environment that involves operating various types of manufacturing equipment and fabrication tools. The setting is fast-paced and production-focused, with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and clean work areas. You will work around industrial machinery such as lasers, CNC equipment, presses, lathes, and material handling equipment like forklifts. The environment requires adherence to shop safety practices and appropriate shop attire suitable for a hands-on, industrial setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
