PRECISIONCLEANING TECHNICIAN II - B SHIFT
Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Precision Cleaning Technician II will work with various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO- Based out of Rocket Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Precision Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies.
- All major components of the Rutherford rocket engine are 3D printed including; thrust chamber, injectors, main valves and pump parts. Remaining parts are machined from raw material or procured externally.
- Position requires a high-level of attention to detail.
- Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Computer literate, able to follow instructions and record day to day activities.
- Highly organized with faultless attention to detail.
- 2+ years of experience in precision cleaning in aerospace industry.
- Experienced in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices.
- Experience bagging parts and creating labels accordingly.
- Experience working in a cleanroom.
- Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks
- NVR (non-volatile residue).
- Particle Part Testing.
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Willing to work 2nd shift (Monday
- Thursday 3:30pm - 1:45pm) - Stand and walk extended periods ( 8+ hours) on production floor
- Perform repetitive motions including grasping, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Operate equipment and controls requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 25 lbs.
- Work in a production environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying environmental conditions
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
