Manufacturing Coordinator, Integration; 2nd Shift

Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches in 2027, followed by additional Haven modules. Additionally, the company recently announced Vast Satellite

Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator, 2nd shift
, reporting to the Supervisor,Integration, to support Haven-1 Manufacturing within the Integration team
. This role is responsible for coordinating, ensuring material delivery meets with schedule timelines. You’ll be working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to maintain production flow and resolve any blockers proactively.

This will be a full-time,
non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.

• Second Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm

• Oversee, monitor, and facilitate the movement of components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely progression through our Vast locations.
• Coordinate the physical transfer of components across various stages including purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory, and relevant work centers.
• Coordinate outside processing of components and liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery.
• Support logistics operations by optimizing workflow staging as necessary.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of system data in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to align with demands and schedules.
• Generate and maintain reports highlighting requirements, milestones, and limitations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with schedulers, and managers to fulfill action requirements.
• Communicate effectively and elevate issues promptly across various platforms and to specific stakeholders.
• Escalate issues such as part shortages, purchase order delays, and discrepancies in BOM to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with engineers and the planning team on the release of runs.
• Follow schedules through effective planning and shortage management coordination.

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.

• 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• 2+ years of Smartsheet.
• Highly detail oriented and self starter.
• Forklift experience.

• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.

• Senior Manufacturing Coordinator: $28.00 - $38.00
