Summary

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator is to research, develop and implement the annual integrated marketing and communications plan to support the business objectives for Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach.
The plan(s) should include objectives, strategies and tactics for each of the hotel's market segments. The ultimate goal is to heighten market presence, increase positive awareness, strengthen brand loyalty, increase market share, and most importantly, produce increased revenues and profitability. This person will promote awareness and maintain a positive brand image of the property on a local, regional and national level through consistent and targeted public relations and marketing and digital campaigns.
This person will ensure that the hotel's brand position is present in coverage, messages are compelling and insights and reporting are accurate. This person will report directly to the Area Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Act as the lead expert, manager and facilitator for strategies, as well as the support resource for technical implementation of internet initiatives for the hotel.
- Design and execute organic posts and campaigns to drive traffic to Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach.
- Manage Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In and all targeted social media channels through social media monitoring platforms.
- Plan media strategy calendar for the hotel, to include food & beverage establishments.
- Act as internal consultant to promote knowledge, provide insight and act as a resource on related new media trends.
- Learn the Regency and Centric brands and understand the voice for each brand.
- Creativity is key in this role.
- Identify revenue or partnership opportunities on social media or third‑party websites.
- Partner with Visit Long Beach and collaborate on events taking place in the city and promote them on social channels and
- Create and follow a monthly social media plan.
- Ensure consistency of published content (updated photos, videos and copy) across all hotel and outlet listings on various websites.
- Manage online reputation; respond to all reviews on Trip Advisor, Expedia and similar sites.
- Update all Hyatt Websites and third‑party sites, ensuring that all information is accurate and up‑to‑date at all times.
- Assist with preparing PowerPoint presentations for the Area General Manager, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, and Sales Managers.
- Execute marketing projects as assigned by the team, such as flyers and in‑hotel marketing.
- Conduct marketing research and reporting.
- Coordinate or assist with photo and video shoots.
- Assist all departments with marketing requests: digital signage, menu updates to the outlets, and all internal hotel marketing.
The rate for this position is $26/hr.
