Purple, Rock, Scissors is partnering with a Big Tech Client to support the growth of an AI-focused early access community program. This program is made up of tech early adopters, creators, and enthusiasts participating in product testing and experimentation. We are seeking a Community Manager to lead engagement, moderation, and feedback across this growing program while partnering closely with internal product, research, and marketing teams.
This role will be central to how the company listens to users, tests new ideas, and amplifies product launches via the community and on social media. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of community leadership, content strategy, and operational rigor, with a deep curiosity for AI and emerging technologies.
Fully Remote role. EST hours preferred. 6-Month Contract beginning in February 2026. Part-Time Hours to start with, potential for Full-time by mid-year.
Job DescriptionAs a Community Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day health, engagement, and growth of an AI early access community. You will create structured opportunities for participation, guide productive discussion, and ensure feedback from the community is captured, synthesized, and shared with internal stakeholders. You will also work closely with the marketing team to leverage the early access community for amplification of product and feature launches.
You will act as a trusted partner to both users and internal stakeholders, helping shape how early-stage AI products are experienced, discussed, and improved. This role requires someone comfortable operating at the intersection of community, content, and product feedback in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities- Manage and support an AI-focused early access community, fostering meaningful engagement and sustained participation
- Moderate and participate in daily conversations across Google Chat, email, and other community platforms
- Plan, create, and publish weekly community content such as prompts, updates, experiments, and discussion guides
- Partner with marketing, product, UXR teams to surface insights, summarize feedback, and share emerging use cases
- Translate qualitative feedback into clear themes, trends, and recommendations to support roadmap discussions
- Advocate for community needs by representing user perspectives during internal reviews and planning cycles
- Support onboarding and ongoing participation for influencers involved in early product testing
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement, participation quality, and drive the amplification of priority product launches via the community. Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and constructive community environment aligned with platform guidelines
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience working in the social media field.
- Experience in leading social marketing initiatives, managing social media campaigns, and/or brand community programs.
- Experience in building and running an engaging brand or personal social profile that demonstrates a strong understanding of content virality and community engagement.
- Passion for emerging technologies, specifically AI, with a genuine interest in experimental technology leaps and translating complex concepts into accessible, engaging social narratives.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in a start-up atmosphere.
