Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. - Demonstrate the ability to safely and competently perform tasks, skills, duties, procedures, and responsibilities according to Medical Center Policy and Procedure.
- Demonstrate ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
- Encourage involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision-making related to plan of care: identify patient/caregiver teaching needs, identify patient safety issues, identify patient comfort/pain issues.
- Perform the priority procedures for the assigned patients or areas safely without causing harm, legally, within the scope of practice and SMMC policy, and in a manner perceived as satisfying by the patient and family.
- Perform all procedures for the assigned patients or areas efficiently—using the fewest possible resources—and effectively—achieving the intended results.
- Act as a resource for all procedures for the assigned patients or areas.
- 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification—American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification—American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.

Pay Range$74.57 – $74.57 /hour
