Overview
Registered Nurse (RN), Code Team – Full-time, Nights (12 hours) at Memorial Care Long Beach Medical Center.
Location:
Long Beach, CA. Department:
Central Staffing. Status:
Full time. Pay Range: $50.74/hr – $80/hr signing bonus: $10,000 external hires to Memorial Care, contingent on requirements.
The RN, Code Team provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the nursing process within the scope of practice for the department at Memorial Care Long Beach Medical Center.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Safety and risk management
- Assess patients
- Develop a written plan of care using assessment database
- Implements patient care
- Evaluates and revises patient care
- Collaboration and working with others
- Interpersonal relationships and communication
- Unit, department, and hospital contributions
- Working responsibilities
- Skills Roster
- Minimum of 1 year Critical Care/Acute Care hospital experience or 3 years ICU Long Term Facility experience
- Completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check
- Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health
- Additional certifications required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department
- Education / Licensure / Certification – Required Prior to Patient Care Assignment
- BSN required unless waived by nurse executive council review
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all areas
- Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program unless otherwise approved by the Nursing Executive Council (NEC); approved accrediting bodies include ACEN and CCNE
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) and ACLS certification are also required
