Position: Registered Nurse – Code Team (PT/Nights, 12 hours)
Location: Long Beach, CA
Department: Central Staffing
Status: Part Time
Shift: Nights (12 Hours)
Pay Range: $50.74/hr - $80/hour
Signing Bonus: $10,000 external hire signing bonus (contingent upon satisfying employment requirements).

Position SummaryThe RN on the Code Team provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the nursing process, within the scope of practice for Registered Nursing, for the department at Memorial Care Long Beach Medical Center.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Safety and risk management
- Assess patients
- Develop a written plan of care using assessment data
- Implement patient care
- Evaluate and revise patient care
- Collaborate with and communicate with others
- Interpersonal relationships and teamwork
- Contribute to unit, department, and hospital operations
- Uphold working responsibilities and maintain skills
- Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care/Acute Care hospital experience or 3 years ICU/Long-Term Facility experience
- Completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Completion of pre-employment criminal background check
- Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening
- Additional certifications required within 6 months of hire
Education / Licensure / Certification – Required Prior to Patient Care Assignment
- BSN required unless waived by nurse executive council review
- Current California RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all areas
- Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE or NEC-approved alternatives)
- ACLS and CPR certification (American Heart Association) or equivalent required
Additional certifications may be required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department.
