Shift: Nights;  (12 hrs)

Pay Range: $66.32/hr - $99.47/hr

Sign-On: $10,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to Memorial Care (employment requirements apply).

Memorial Care is a nonprofit integrated health system serving Orange and Los Angeles Counties with multiple hospitals and care sites.

• Supervise and direct patient care within one department/unit during the shift.
• Foster patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and pursue interdisciplinary approaches to achieve operational efficiency.
• Monitor staff performance to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Promote the advancement of the nursing profession and participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Perform rounds to assess care quality, introduce the supervisor, and solicit feedback from patients and families.
• Assess unit staffing needs, plan for the next shift, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Resolve patient care and operational issues during the shift and coordinate with managers to escalate unresolved matters.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory requirements, unit-based improvement initiatives, and productivity expectations.
• Review and respond to requests to adjust schedules, including late arrivals, early departures, or illness-related absences.
• Manage staffing levels based on patient acuity and available resources and arrange staff relief for meals and breaks.
• Support Memorial Care initiatives and foster employee engagement and a positive work environment.
• Participate in patient care as needed and contribute to performance evaluations for unit staff.
• Collect data and participate in quality activities to improve care and operations.
• Promote organizational excellence and growth through leadership and collaboration.
• Follow and support policies, procedures, standard work, and directives; interact positively and multitask effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience: 2+ years in a related clinical area; supervisor or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required; specialty certification preferred; current department-specific certifications as required.
