Airgas is hiring for a Customer Master Data Specialist in Long Beach, CA!

The Customer Master Data Specialist is responsible for data entry and maintenance for our integrated enterprise system (SAP). As part of the Customer Master Data team, this position is responsible for the accurate entry of data into SAP. The Customer Master Data team is responsible for the efficient and effective management of customer master data and pricing. This requires exceptional attention to detail, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and in-depth knowledge of our business, products, and processes.

• Process all internal inbound requests for new accounts and perform updates to existing accounts in accordance with divisional policies to ensure accuracy and quality of customer master data.
• Maintain account pricing, adjustments, rent codes, and exemptions.
• Process price maintenance requests for customer accounts in a timely manner.
• Create hierarchy nodes and change hierarchy assignments.
• Generate and analyze Excel data reports from SAP and SharePoint.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2+ years administrative experience.
• Familiar with Google Suite and Microsoft Office software.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Must be able to prioritize and adapt to workloads, schedules and diverse situations with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform high volume data entry with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively present complex information and respond to questions from associates across all levels.
• Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Able to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Demonstrated initiative with ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to a changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• SAP knowledge and experience.
