Position Summary

Sam’s Club #6613, 7480 Carson Blvd, Long Beach, CA. The role is a Team Member position focused on product knowledge, food preparation, technology use, ownership, and talent ambassadorship, while upholding company policies and driving performance.

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate associates, communicate effectively, and adapt to business needs.
• Prepare food to item specifications, plan future and mass productions, schedule for seasonality, adhere to food safety, sanitation, cold‑chain compliance, inventory management, operate and sanitize equipment, and understand product layout.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for production, ordering, club pickup orders, training, and product quality decisions.
• Drive area performance by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, providing member service, assisting purchasing decisions, handling payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member concerns.
• Act as a brand advocate, inspire others with a respectful, supportive, team‑oriented style, recognize roadblocks, and assist in training.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; implement action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and apply them in all business processes.
• Execute work assignments effectively, using data and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvement opportunities, and adapt to change.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of all required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.

• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service or Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00
* per hour. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
