This position provides excellent customer service to University students and sponsors by maintaining student and sponsor accounts. Duties include reviewing, processing, and billing charges, processing refunds, collecting balances owed, applying payments, and ensuring financial integrity through reconciliations and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare account reconciliations and reports related to the Installment Plan such as Lost Interest, Bad Debt Adjustment, and accrued costs.
- Maintain Student and 3rd Party Accounts Receivable by reviewing charges for validity before billing.
- Provide customer service to students, including verifying eligibility to participate in programs.
- Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record‑keeping experience.
- Four‑year college degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent preferred.

Classification and CompensationTime base: 1.0, 40 hours per week.
Salary placement is determined by education, experience, and qualifications, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Rate: $4,570 per month.
- Salary Range: $4,570 (Step #1) – $6,658 (Step #20) per month.
A background check, including a criminal records check, must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSULB may rescind a conditional offer if the background check reveals disqualifying information or if it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
