Join Smart & Final’s store operations team as a Part‑time Retail Associate. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, stocking and maintaining store sections, handling customer purchases, and supporting store cleanliness.

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Reading and comprehension of simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Writing simple correspondence.
• Presenting information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Applying common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC and Outlook skills (desired).
• Retail Management Certificate (desired).

• Maintain assigned store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing, verify product date codes for rotation, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers, including current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles as requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost or damaged goods and managing store supplies.
