Area Manager, Director of Sales
Job Description Summary
The Director of Sales will be responsible for achieving defined site sales targets and supporting the Vice President with staff recruitment, development and site financial management.
Responsibilities- Deliver the required sales targets for the site by supporting and motivating staff to achieve performance goals
- Assist in providing appropriate training, education and performance monitoring for the sales team
- Support marketing programs and educate sales staff on the marketing strategies
- Follow and represent the company in an ethical, moral and professional manner with adherence to industry and company best practices
- Actively participate in management duties, training sessions and sales meetings and provide on-site support to sales employees
- Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise
- Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting peers and managers; support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible
- Travel + Leisure in‑house sales management experience required
- Industry experience in supporting and managing a successful high‑volume sales team
- Proven track record in achieving sales
- Sound leadership ability including motivating, coaching and performance management accompanied with effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Driven, self‑motivated and results focused
- Ability to recognize financial trends and their application to the business
- Flexible to work the operational hours of the site
- Timeshare/vacation ownership sales experience essential to this role

Compensation for this position is between $94,000 and $104,000 per year (depending on experience and other qualifications), plus incentive earnings reasonably ranging from $70,000 to $312,000 annually, depending on individual performance and site targets. Performance above or below reasonable expectations could result in incentive earnings outside this range. Components of incentive compensation are paid monthly for this role.
