Job Summary

A part-time opportunity is available for an Appointment Setter / Lead Generation Representative in Long Beach, CA. This contract role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, enjoys business-to-business outreach, and can help create new sales opportunities through professional outbound calling. This position offers a focused morning schedule of approximately 12 hours per week, making it a strong fit for candidates seeking part-time work with a clear purpose and measurable impact.

You will support the sales team by identifying potential business clients, introducing services, and setting appointments that help move opportunities forward. The role is well suited for a self-motivated communicator who enjoys connecting with new people, staying organized, and contributing to a team-oriented sales environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls to prospective business clients.
  • Introduce services in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and qualify basic interest.
  • Set appointments for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Maintain accurate notes on calls, conversations, and follow-up activity.
  • Work independently and stay productive during scheduled calling hours.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Approximately 12 hours per week.
  • Morning schedule.
  • Contract/temporary, part-time position.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Conduct outbound business-to-business cold calls.
  • Generate leads and identify potential client opportunities.
  • Schedule appointments for the sales team.
  • Track call activity and maintain accurate follow-up notes.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and speaking with new business contacts.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Professional and positive attitude when handling rejection or gatekeepers.
  • Prior sales, telemarketing, customer service, recruiting, or call center experience is helpful.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience is preferred based on the level of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with outbound sales, appointment setting, lead generation, telesales, or business development.
  • Experience making business-to-business calls.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and communicate value over the phone.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail when documenting call activity.
