CleanPack Chemist

Clean Harbors seeks a Clean Pack Chemist to support hazardous waste management and packaging services. In this field-based role, you will identify, categorize, and consolidate chemical wastes at client sites, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation for safe transport and disposal. You will perform basic lab tests, maintain inventories, and comply with EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. The position includes CDL school sponsorship, extensive safety training, and opportunities to grow your environmental services career with a company dedicated to sustainability and worker protection.

Responsibilities

• Identify, categorize, and segregate chemical and hazardous wastes at client sites
• Package, label, and prepare wastes for safe transport and disposal per EPA and DOT regulations
• Perform basic laboratory tests and compatibility checks on chemical materials
• Maintain accurate records, manifests, and inventories of chemical wastes
• Operate within strict OSHA and company safety standards, using appropriate PPECoordinate with drivers and operations teams to schedule pickups and shipments
• Communicate with clients regarding on-site procedures, safety, and documentation needs
• Inspect and maintain equipment and supplies used in packaging and sampling
• Participate in CDL training program and ongoing safety and compliance training
• Support emergency response or special projects as assigned
