Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We are currently seeking a Commercial Service Electrician who resides in the Los Angeles area to support our Southern California service department by performing electrical service, repairs, and 24/7 emergency support for commercial facilities. We are also looking for a Technician to diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical systems—performing service calls, troubleshooting electrical issues, connecting emergency backup power systems, including mobile generators, transfer switches and other commercial electrical equipment—and documenting work order progress.

Technicians start each day from their home base and travel directly to job sites, providing efficient service to our clients on a Monday–Friday schedule, with a company vehicle and gas card to support daily service operations.

Full-time

• Electrical diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of various commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems.
• Skilled in pulling and terminating wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, and/or raceways.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators and temporary power systems, including automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems.
• Knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring is preferred.
• Ability to work independently from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings.
• Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of electrical repairs.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies.
• Proficient in the use of cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation technology.
• Submit service paperwork and reports as required by department policy.
• Available to work Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday as part of the regular schedule.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department.

• Five or more years of commercial electrical experience in commercial electrical service or construction roles.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check.
• Proficient English communication skills required to write reports and emails.
• Must be able to work according to safety guidelines, OSHA, and workplace policies.

$28 to $35 per hour based on experience.
