Senior Facilities Technician, Second Shift
Location:
Long Beach, California, United States
Compensation: $33 - $45 USD / hour (10% shift differential)
About the RoleMaintain and optimize operations across a 1 million‑square‑foot headquarters, supporting power, utilities, specialized machinery, and site cleanliness.
- Experience with heavy equipment (forklift, reach‑lift, man‑lift, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Maintain general consumable stock items and equipment inventory
- Organize and maintain equipment and site surroundings
- Perform site maintenance and material movement using hand trucks, forklifts, and golf carts
- Provide recommendations for facilities improvements
- Perform other related duties and projects as business needs require under management direction
Schedule:
3:00 PM‑1:30 AM, Monday‑Friday (50‑hour week with occasional overtime)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of work experience at the journeyman level or higher
- Reliable transportation and ability to complete assigned shifts
- Ability to lift and manipulate 50 pounds; work from heights, on ladders, squatting, stooping, or kneeling
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work non‑standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
- Physical ability to perform lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying
- Experience in extreme outdoor environments (heat, cold, wind, rain)
- Valid California state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Willingness and ability to pass in‑house forklift certification (required)
- 5‑10 years of experience preferred
- Prior experience in maintenance, construction, and/or repair
- Experience as a mechanic or carpenter
- Experience with inventory receiving and tracking
