Overview
Interface is seeking an experienced Security/Fire Alarm Technician to diagnose and resolve application issues while maintaining Fire Alarm, TCP/IP Networks, Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Wireless solutions. The technician installs, repairs, and services security and video surveillance systems, wireless devices, and cabling, including terminating, commissioning, and testing electronic components.
Technicians are supplied with a full suite of high‑quality, company‑provided tools, including cordless hand tools, test monitors, tone generators, cable tools, PPE, and a company‑issued laptop. Additional tools may be provided based on specific job requirements.

Compensation ranges from $31.75–$40.00 per hour, with benefits that may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, training, a company‑provided vehicle and phone, and more.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network, and VoIP integrated systems.
- Work efficiently in the field to resolve service issues.
- Train customers on Interface‑provided systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels with physical counts and documentation.
- Install and terminate network and security cabling.
- Firestop cable penetrations as required.
- Adhere to and promote OSHA health & safety policies.
- Interface with customer contacts on projects and service requests.
- Coordinate with end‑users and vendors for each project.
- Interact hands‑on with customers at the site level.
- Maintain assigned vehicle and tools.
- Work full‑time with potential rotating on‑call duties.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Vocational/Technical/Business School strongly preferred. - Valid driver’s license.
- NICET Certification is a plus.
- At least 2 years of verifiable field experience as a security field technician.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Solid knowledge of installation and service terminology for telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards, engineering practices, and federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passability of applicable state and federal background checks for registration as a security installer.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, and work from heights with proper fall protection.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight.
- Finger and wrist dexterity; hand/eye coordination.
- Heavy physical effort; lifting and carrying loads.
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
- Working from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts, and rooftops with fall protection.
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
