Under the general supervision of the assigned administrator, the Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with the repair and maintenance of the interior and exterior of buildings and structures on campus.

• Provides instruction and direction to unskilled and semi‑skilled assistants within the carpenter shop and other applicable areas; schedules crew activities and reports all repairs not covered by the team to the Customer Service Center supervisor on a daily basis.
• Provides sketches, estimated costs, and all other required information in support of the program. Provides instruction and support for the scheduling of activities of the team and reporting of all other required repairs not covered by the team such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and elevator repairs to the Customer Service Center supervisor on a daily basis.
• Accountable for all materials to be available at the job site and arrange for secure staging of materials and tools within the structure.
