* The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos' is seeking a Materials

Requisition er / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast-paced environment.

** THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)*
* + Manage the fulfillment acquisition process

+ Create purchase requisitions in Cost Point

+ Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships

+ Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork

+ Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success

+ Track supplier on-time delivery

+ Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation

+ Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status

+ Data analysis

+ Understand production flow

+ Create, open and close manufacturing orders

+ Other administrative duties as required

** WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)*
* + Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree

+ MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Experience using Windchill or a similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software

+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously

+ Good organization and communication skills

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment

+ Strong customer interface skills

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software

+ Strong Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc.)

+ Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + DoD or Military contract experience

+ Supply chain experience

+ Experience using Solumina

+ Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets
