Role Overview
The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is seeking a Materials Requisition er / Planner to support the Long Beach, MS facility in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Manage the fulfillment acquisition process
- Create purchase requisitions in Cost Point
- Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships
- Manage Leidos‑required supplier paperwork
- Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success
- Track supplier on‑time delivery
- Follow‑up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations
- Maintain purchasing records and BOM status
- Perform data analysis
- Understand production flow
- Create, open and close manufacturing orders
- Other administrative duties as required
- Bachelor's degree with 4‑8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent education and experience; military experience or certifications may substitute for a degree
- MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using Windchill or a similar PLM software
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in a DFAR environment
- Strong customer interface skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel experience (workbooks, formulas, filtering and sorting)
- Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness and sense of urgency
- Team‑oriented work style
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- DoD or Military contract experience
- Supply chain experience
- Experience using Solumina
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and data sheets
