Material Procurement​/Supply Chain Analyst

Role Overview

The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is seeking a Materials Requisition er / Planner to support the Long Beach, MS facility in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage the fulfillment acquisition process
• Create purchase requisitions in Cost Point
• Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships
• Manage Leidos‑required supplier paperwork
• Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success
• Track supplier on‑time delivery
• Follow‑up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations
• Maintain purchasing records and BOM status
• Perform data analysis
• Understand production flow
• Create, open and close manufacturing orders
• Other administrative duties as required

• Bachelor's degree with 4‑8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent education and experience; military experience or certifications may substitute for a degree
• MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using Windchill or a similar PLM software
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in a DFAR environment
• Strong customer interface skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel experience (workbooks, formulas, filtering and sorting)
• Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness and sense of urgency
• Team‑oriented work style
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain Secret clearance

• DoD or Military contract experience
• Supply chain experience
• Experience using Solumina
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and data sheets
