Project Fabrication Coordinator
The Project Fabrication Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Team in leading and coordinating the day-to-day activities to ensure fabrication and material needs are met for the project. This includes directing and assigning tasks to support pre-assembly of materials.
Responsibilities• Coordinates job-site materials, including fabrication and pre-assembly processes as schedules demand.
• Works with other departments to determine and resolve factors affecting fabrication for the projects.
• Assist in establishing employee and pre-assembly performance metrics.
• Requisition materials for pre-assembly and the field.
• Manages all pre-assembly for the projects, including compiling all documents and drawings, creating labels and directing employees completing pre-assembly.
• Schedule fabrication and determine required delivery dates and update schedules based on needs of the project.
• Maintains the fabrication schedule based on priorities of the project.
• Maintains and updates Smartsheet to ensure communication with project managers and supervision in regard to materials and fabrication deliveries to the projects.
• Coordinate shop drawing BOM review and/or takeoff review for material needs of the projects.
• Promote inventory processes to ensure accuracy of inventory data including inventory on hand, minimum and maximum Inventory levels, timely requisition of inventory for the projects.
• Review detailing spool package files with project supervision and liaison with appropriate functions to resolve any errors or discrepancies.
• Identifies opportunities and coordinates with management to improve process flows and project execution as it relates to material needs and fabrication.
Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications• Must have strong technical knowledge of ERP systems
• Must have strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
• The ability to multi-task and adapt to changes.
• The ability to communicate at every level.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
