Job Summary

The Associate Director of Undergraduate Nursing provides administrative support to the Director of Nursing and serves as the primary administrative point of contact and site director for all academic programs in the College of Nursing and Health Professions on the Gulf Park Campus. This is a 12‑month position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight of educational and administrative resources to assist with faculty concerns or issues related to those resources.
  • Plans the orientation and mentorship of new full‑time and adjunct faculty members.
  • Monitors and reviews budgetary tracking for fiscally responsible decision‑making at the School Director and college levels and subsequent approved budgetary processing.
  • Manages course and clinical scheduling and textbook adoption.
  • Assists with accreditation tracking and management.
  • Responsible for clinical contract initiation, tracking, and management (in consultation with the Clinical Coordinators and Administrative Coordinators and Specialists).
  • Monitors and evaluates clinical onboarding and student clearance for clinical participation at each facility (documentation of immunizations, TB, substance screen, CPR, etc.).
  • Serves as Campus liaison for full‑time and adjunct faculty member needs.
  • Represents the College of Nursing and Health Professions at university and community events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution required.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in nursing education, including teaching, curriculum development, program evaluation, and/or academic administration.
  • Demonstrated leadership or administrative experience supporting academic programs, faculty operations, or clinical education coordination.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing practice.
  • Experience with accreditation processes, regulatory compliance, and documentation management in nursing education.
  • Experience in managing academic operations, including course scheduling, clinical placements, faculty support, and/or budget tracking.
  • Ability to meet institutional requirements, including credential verification and background screening.

  • Knowledge of day‑to‑day operations in the academic and clinical environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced academic environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy, organization, and adherence to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Possesses a terminal degree in nursing (DNP or PhD) and has achieved a level of accomplishment in research, teaching, and service that merits appointment as an Associate Professor.
