HVAC Service Tech III

Overview

The HVAC Service Technician III is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and mechanical components/equipment. Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion and insure total customer satisfaction throughout.

• Installation and commissioning of a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Establish and maintain clear communications with customers while on and off the job sites.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and tool procurement for individual service vehicles.
• Promote and perform all aspects of safety procedures and policies.

• Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC systems with EPA certification.
• Skills of level II Technician.
• Cooling tower service, annual maintenance, gearbox replacement and alignment, water‑cooled chiller annual maintenance, hydronic system understanding and troubleshooting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the company’s competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.

• 8+ years of experience in service of commercial HVAC systems with EPA certification.

• 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job sites or office locations.

• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Operating motor vehicles.
• Exposure to low indoor temperature.
• Exposure to high indoor temperature.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
• Operating in a noisy environment.
• Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.

USD $27.92 - USD $37.29 /Hr.
