Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Litigation Defense Paralegal located in Oceanside, NY. The Litigation Paralegal primary task will be to draft legal pleadings, Motions, Answers, Affirmative Defenses and TRO's and will assist attorneys by preparing legal documents, performing document reviews, conducting legal research, and managing case files. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence, maintaining organized case documentation, and ensuring timely filings with courts and other relevant entities.

The role requires collaboration with the legal team to support case preparation and courtroom proceedings effectively.

Qualifications

• Excellence in drafting legal pleadings and TRO's and Motion Practice.
• Preparation and Document Review.
• Strong Legal Research skills and ability to analyze legal issues
• Experience drafting Pleadings and Motions
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced on-site work environment
• Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education is preferred
• Knowledge of NYSCEF and filing essential.
• Any knowledge of CT law and proceedure a plus.
