A healthcare facility in Long Branch, New Jersey, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a travel assignment focusing on newborn nursery coverage. This specialist role supports inpatient pediatric and nursery services, collaborating with families and hospital staff.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule:
Weekdays and several shifts per month - Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Setting:
Hospital
Responsibilities:
The Hospitalist - Pediatric (Physician) will be responsible for:
- Performing history and physical examinations for newborns
- Providing routine and medically necessary newborn care
- Communicating effectively with families regarding newborn health and care plans
- Attending deliveries
- Providing newborn resuscitation when necessary
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- MD or DO degree
- NRP certification preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Newborn care expertise
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team collaboration skills
- Problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of pediatric hospitalist experience
- Advanced pediatric care training
- PALS certification
- Proficient in resuscitation
- Effective communication
