Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• SAC Certification
• Related counseling experience
• Related alcohol/drug program experience
• A master's Degree is desirable
• Such other qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

School-Based Youth Services Program Manager

To work with students identified or suspected of having alcohol and/or drug-related problems

Ten-month position.

Performance to be reviewed and evaluated annually in writing by the SBYS Program Manager

• Provides alcohol and drug intervention and prevention services for Middle School/High School students.
• Provides intervention, recommendation for referral, follow-up and after-care support for those students placed in residential or out‑patient programs.
• Makes referrals to appropriate agencies and professionals in accordance with established procedures.
• Assists the SBYS Program Manager in the implementation of staff alcohol/drug in‑services, workshops and training sessions.
• Develops and implements student support groups.
• Maintains confidential records in accordance with existing laws and statutes.
• Prepares statistical data.
• Networks with various agencies and organizations in the community.
• Disseminates alcohol and drug information to schools and the community.
• Conducts alcohol and drug assessments, screenings, and evaluations.
• Serves as a member of the CORE/PAC Team at the Middle School.
• Coordinates student re‑entry to school from treatment.
• Prepares monthly report of student data and program activities.
• Performs related duties as required by the Safe & Drug Free School Grants.
