The Beach/Pool Attendant position is responsible for the first and last guest impression in the respective recreation spaces. In addition to providing timely and warm service to our guests, the position is responsible for transporting towels to and from the laundry area, sort and fold clean towels so they are ready for guest use, and maintain clean towel inventory. This position will be responsible to ensure the pool and beach area is clean.

In addition to the above, the Beach Attendant position is responsible for the set up and breakdown of the designated beach area with chairs, umbrellas, and tables.

Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Must be a clear communicator to guests and fellow colleagues.
  • Previous front‑of‑house Hospitality experience
  • CPR certified preferred.
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
  • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

  • Customer Service:
    Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner.

    Meet the hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality; report to work and return from breaks on time; give advance notice when absence is anticipated; require typical amount of supervision; accept work assignments without complaints.

    Meet the hotel standards for cleanliness; clean assigned areas on schedule; pass inspections; maintain local health department standards; performs general repairs in a satisfactory and timely manner; keeps tools and equipment clean and secure; completes preventive maintenance duties on schedule.
Essential Functions
  • Constantly. Assist guests with towels, furniture, information, and other related services.
  • Constantly. Maintain work area neat and organized.
  • Constantly. Confirm guest identity with room key/wristband/rooming list/resort pass before allowing access to facilities.
  • Constantly. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Frequently. Assist with the relocation, repair and maintenance of the pools, spas, and fountains.
  • Occasionally. Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Frequently. Patrol exercise room, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
  • Frequently. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting:
    Occasionally. Sitting in a backed chair attending to the pool/beach area.
  • Standing/Walking:
    Constantly. Six to seven hours per day on pool deck, cement, asphalt, and tile.
  • Crouching (Bend at knees):
    Occasionally. Lifting and storing beach chairs, umbrellas, towels.
  • Climbing:
    Rarely.
  • Balancing:
    Occasionally. Carrying equipment.
  • Leg/Foot Use:
    Rarely.
  • Reaching (Overhead/Extension):
    Occasionally. Pool cleaning equipment.
  • Handling/Grasping:
    Frequently. Handling chairs, towels, pool vacuum. Grasping knobs on equipment, shepherd’s hook and vacuum pole.
  • Fingering/Feeling:
    Rarely.
  • Pushing/Pulling:
    Occasionally. Average weight 30 lbs.; maximum weight 120 lbs.
  • Lifting/Carrying:
    Occasionally. Average weight 25 lbs.; maximum weight 50 lbs.
  • Other physical demands:
    Constantly. Ability to be outdoors/in sunlight for majority of shift.
