POSITION SUMMARY
The Houseperson cleans and maintains all corridors and public areas in accordance with housekeeping procedures, standards, and safety/security rules to ensure guest satisfaction. Duties include walking assigned floors, removing trash and soiled linen, cleaning lobby and public restrooms, and aiding section housekeepers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
- Prior janitorial experience helpful.
- Knowledge of floor buffer and extractor operation.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner. - WORK HABITS:
Meet hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality. - PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Accept opportunities to learn new skills or cross-train for other hotel positions. - SAFETY AND SECURITY:
Be alert to hazards; follow hotel's safety, security, and emergency procedures. - JANITORIAL SERVICES:
Meet hotel standards for cleanliness of public areas; clean all assigned areas on schedule.
