RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated & experienced RN for SDS at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

* RN Degree

* NJ RN License

* At least 3 years Peri-Op experience

* BLS, ACLS & PALS (American Heart Association)

Preferred:

* BSN

* Specialty Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

* Per Diem Day M-F 5:30a-8p

Essential Functions:

* Caring for our patients in our Same Day Surgery Department

* RN to be cross trained to care for both outpatient and inpatient surgical patients, as well as, pediatric patients leaving the department or nursing unit for testing or procedures,

* As a sedation RN the nurse is responsible for the preoperative and postoperative care of the procedural patients,

* RN and an anesthesiologist work together to care for patient during the test or procedure,

* Special skills required include pediatric IV insertion, Foley insertion and phlebotomy
