Breakfast and After School Club Assistant – Long Eaton
Part-Time

Teacher Active is delighted to be working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Nottingham, supporting them in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast and After School Club Assistant to join their team.

This is a part-time position, perfect for someone with a genuine passion for working with children aged 4–11 and creating a safe, engaging and fun environment before and after the school day.

We are welcoming applications from practitioners with experience in childcare, education or playwork, ideally holding a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork or a related field. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and committed to providing high-quality care.

Working hours:

Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 9:00am

After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm

A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the location, though not essential.

The successful Breakfast and After School Club Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork or similar (desirable)

• A caring, patient and approachable nature

• Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to child welfare

• A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children in a play, club or school environment

• A creative and proactive approach to planning and leading engaging activities

• A positive attitude and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children and parents

• Someone dependable, energetic and ready to make a difference in a fun, nurturing setting
