This post is pivotal in supporting the Registered Manager in delivering a high‑quality service for children, young people and foster carers. The Team Manager ensures legislative, regulatory, national minimum standards and company requirements are met to maintain and achieve outstanding performance. The role also involves foster carer recruitment and assessment, referrals and placements, foster carer learning, and contributes to the strategic development and expansion of the Region through child and carer focused projects.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standards.
- Support the Registered Manager in service delivery for children, young people and foster carers.
- Lead foster carer recruitment, assessment, referrals and placements.
- Oversee foster carer learning and development.
- Contribute to strategic development and successful expansion of the Region.
- Current registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory council (Social Work England/Wales, NISCC, SSSC).
- Recent experience in fostering and services for children with a solid working knowledge of the regulatory framework.
- Previous line‑management experience.
- Experience achieving performance targets and developing services to meet organisational objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills, flexible and adaptable approach.
- Ability to travel to support the growth of the region.
