Location: Chicago, IL Area (Northwest Suburbs)
Job Type: Direct Placement
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (Based on Experience)

Overview:
Our client, a well-established landscape and civil construction contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to support field and administrative operations. This individual will work closely with the Vice President to manage multiple projects, attend meetings, assess job readiness, and support field crews and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, hands-on environment involving both ecological and public works projects such as IDOT-related infrastructure, native plant restoration, erosion control, and more.

• Attend coordination meetings with clients, engineers, and internal teams

• Assist with compiling bids and estimating projects using take-off programs

• Visit job sites to assess readiness and measure completed work

• Start and support field crews at job sites each morning

• Coordinate material needs and logistics from the yard

• Track jobsite progress, take project photos, and verify completed work

• Meet with clients and project engineers throughout project phases

• Support project documentation including scheduling, subcontractor agreements, change orders, RFIs, and purchase orders

• Collaborate with field and office staff on ongoing project needs

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related field

• Valid driver's license with insurability under company's fleet carrier

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plan sets

• Experience in landscape construction or IDOT projects strongly preferred

• Knowledge of ecological restoration or native landscaping is a plus
