Our client is currently seeking a DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AND FOOD SAFETY in IL.
Key Responsibilities Quality & Food Safety Leadership- Establish strategic direction and execution plans for all quality and food safety initiatives across operations.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce robust quality policies, procedures, and programs.
- Act as the final authority for product disposition decisions and lead investigations during quality or food safety events.
- Build and promote a strong culture of proactive food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance leadership within Ready to Eat, Sous Vide and raw protein manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and quality management systems.
- HACCP certification required; SQF/PCQI certifications preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated production environment.
