Youth Sports Portrait Photographer

We're a growing photography team that brings enthusiasm to a clear system, steady energy to busy photo days, and a real focus on helping kids feel confident in front of the camera.

This isn't just a camera job. It's a people job. You'll be behind the camera taking posed portraits while also directing athletes, keeping kids engaged, and helping photo day stay on schedule.

If you've coached a team, run a classroom, managed a front desk, worked with families, or kept a busy household organized, you may already have many of the skills we need. We'll teach you the photography side.

On photo day, you'll photograph posed individual portraits and team photos at a set-up portrait station using our cameras, lighting, and backdrops.

You won't be shooting games, practices, or sideline action.

• Set up and tear down photo equipment
• Take posed individual portraits and team photos using our cameras and lighting
• Pose and direct athletes so every kid looks confident
• Make quick adjustments to posing, expression, clothing, and small details
• Work alongside a Photo Day Assistant to keep the line moving and the energy upbeat
• Follow a consistent photography system while keeping each interaction positive and efficient

This is a part-time, seasonal role. Work is scheduled by photo day rather than by a regular weekly shift.

• Busy seasons:
  September-November and March-June
• Most photo days are weekday evenings and weekends, usually 4-8 hours

This role can be a great fit alongside a day job, freelance work, coaching, or a family schedule. It is not a full-time position and does not offer guaranteed weekly hours.

This role is best suited for someone based in Western Massachusetts or Northern Connecticut, as most photo days are currently within that area, with occasional travel to other parts of Massachusetts or Connecticut.

Comfort with a camera or experience in portrait photography, including family or newborn photography, studio lighting, school or sports photography, or sports media and TV production.

Photography experience is helpful, but it is not required.

• Must be 18 or older
• Reliable transportation required
• Comfortable standing for several hours and helping carry and set up basic photo equipment
• Background checks are required after an offer, including CORI and a national background check, along with Safe Sport certification, because we work with minors
