Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Longmeadow, MA

This on-site opportunity offers both full-time and part-time options, allowing you to tailor your schedule to your professional goals. Located near Longmeadow, MA, you'll become an integral part of a supportive environment dedicated to providing exceptional education and accessibility for all learners.

What you bring:
  • Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ideally within a K-12 setting
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
What youll do:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring D/HH services
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction focused on academic, communication, and self-advocacy skills
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure accommodations and modifications are delivered
  • Support students in accessing curriculum and social opportunities using best practices in Deaf education
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students within the school community
